SSD spikes to 100% usage causing 10-30 second mini freezes

Took me a bit to track down what was happening. i Cant seem to find a fix i have installed the amd chipset drivers, asked asrock for any 3rd party controller and i am just redirected to the amd chipset drivers.

(using most current bios,latest firmware for ssd,tried turning off superfetch etc etc. New sata cable S.M.A.R.T. says my drive is in good health.)

The only thing i can come up with is that the sata controller is faulty on the hardware level in some manner??

Any Help Greatly apreciated!


Update:Am benching the disk at 100% usage and still not getting these freezes i can fluidly move around and do what i need to do in windows.

The downloader.exe was for bit defender going to try another solution to see if that was the problem or not. Haven't had issues with it in the past but who knows

Edit: well wasnt bit defender just uninstalled it and it did it again.
the only thing running on the disk was the system and origin at the time

Edit x2: Talked to my IT guy at work today and he stated it was probably a faulty portion of the ssd. Going to grab another ssd from my other computer reinstall windows on that and see if its the drive or not. will update thread. thanks for the help so far

Faulty sata port on the mobo... just tried a different port no problems. simple fix... not sure if ill rma for 1 port being faulty since x370 on backorders for dayyyysss
