Hoping somebody might be able to offer direction on a problem I'm having.
I've had a Dell Ultrasharp U2711 for many years and have always used it in 2560 x 1440 resolution without issue. Today, my new GTX 1080TI arrived ( replacing a gtx780 ), and I cannot seem to get my old resolution back anymore. Instead, it is capping me at lower resolutions.
I'm using the same dual link DVI cable that I've always used - except that it now goes into an adapter provided by nvidia for the 1080TI since there are no DVI slots anymore. In short, the only changes are the new card and the adapter.
Is it possible that my old 2560 monitor isn't compatible with the 1080TI? This would seem very odd, but I thought I'd come here to ask wiser minds.
