my motherboard is from 2014 it holds a GeForce GTX 650 the computer has 8 gb of ram and a 800w power supply can it hold a GTX 1080 graphics card the motherboard is MSI

Solution
If it has a GTX 650 in it now, it must have a PCIe x16 slot. So yes, you can use the GTX 1080. But be aware that you need a pretty strong CPU to keep from bottlenecking the 1080.
