So i got the card a few days ago and the first game i tried out was ghost recon wildlands, on ultra i couldnt get a steady 60 fps in 1080p..i assumed it was an issue with the game just being released because i monitored everything with precision X OC and everything is in order in terms of temps and no limits were hit so no throttling. But i also bought Battlefield 1 last night and on certain maps i get about 130-150 fps but playing on the Amiens map (conquest) just an hour ago i noticed that Vsync was dropping to 55 with power at 40% ish . So i turned vsync off, turned the gpu memory limit off and i was getting 50-70 fps in non demanding scenes. As i was monitoring i saw no clock speed drop off, max temps was 52, cpu temps 38-40 and nothing at all to suggest power/temp throttle. Admittedly i am only using a 1080p monitor and i still use vsync until i get a new monitor at the end of the month. But surely seeing as the clock speeds are at 1960-2000 depending on the game, the gpu is still handling the most part of the game.

Ive noticed this weird performance in my whole game library pretty much (No CPU bottleneck even with vsync off) CPU usage nowhere near 100.

Pleasee help, i cant help thinking that my 970 was smoother and performed better but that can not be possible!

Thankyou

Drivers are up to date, windows 10 64 bit

Turn off MSAA if you have it on. This usually saves a lot and it's still ultra without it. You will get the frame rate after that. Also use furmark http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ to properly test the card to make sure it's not a faulty unit. Good luck :)

I forgot to mention, i have ran heaven benchmark a few times and everything was okay, score was 2890ish, max fps 220 min 120 (approx) temps were 67 and clock speed was at 2090 ish. I would have thought that i wouldnt need to sacrifice any graphic settings with a gtx 1080, even on a new game. Battlefield is pretty well optimized to a certain extent. I have ran another benchmark and results are inline with the above scores mentioned. I know i should get more than 50-70 even on a big conquest map :/

Anyone? Its bugging me now, i have tried DDU for reinstalling my drivers. I cant think what else it could be. 110-150 fps on BF1 campaign but less than 60 sometimes in multiplayer. Alsi bad performance in ghost recon wildlands.
