I spent 4 hours building my pc using videos online to try and put things together. I don't know if I broke anything or not but when I tried to boot it up in the end nothing showed up on the monitor. I have no idea what went wrong and I don't know if it can be helped.
The parts I used were
Intel pentium g4600
Msi b250m pro-vd
Evga gtx 1050 2gb
1 tb hdd
8gb of ram

This is my first time using this site so I hope the reply is on the thread. When I try to boot nothing turns on. The fans don't turn on and the pc doesn't turn off or on. It's like a dead computer. It is a dead computer. I connected the 4/8 pin and 24 pin connector to the motherboard before trying to boot up and nothing worked.

you need the power switch at very minimum properly connected... something looking like this... (check motherboard manual for proper connections)

I had those properly connected before I tried to boot up before. So just to double check I took them out of the sockets and put them back on. I tried to boot up again and nothing showed up. Was I supposed to update the bios of the motherboard before putting the processor on it, or can I be able to update the bios after it's been put on?
