Hi all i originally had 2x4Gb of DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Tactical (1333mhz 7-7-7-24 1.5v) and today my brother gave me some Corsair Vengance 2x4gb (1600mhz 9-9-9-24 1.5v)

My question is what timings/speed etc should have them all set to in the bios for the best performance?

Specs are
GA-990XA-UD3 (rev. 1.x)
AMD FX 8350
Sapphire HD 7970 Ghz
List RAM as above ^^^^
Corsair CX600M
Cooler Mater Seidon 1.2

Solution
They work fine together so far just let my son play a few games of rocket league for half an hour and it was fine though I'll have to do a proper stress test later though, I was just wondering if anyone else had done this and what timings and stuff they used.

I've seen other posts where people have done it fine too but they have different original ram timings.

Solution
yes sometimes it works ok others not just your luck

like i said the bios will set the speed of the slowest ram

if you want to start tweaking timings then it could quickly get unstable

only way to know would be to make very small adjustments one at a time then test for stability

Thanks faalin :) The 1333 will go to 1600 on their own but not when combined with the Corsair vengeance set so I've left that at 1333 and managed to set timings to 9-9-9-24 with no issues, would 7-7-7-24 be better for performance?

lets look at your ram sets

1333Mhz 7-7-7-24
&
1600Mhz 9-9-9-24

to run these together you want the worst of both sets, so 1333Mhz 9-9-9-24. You might try 1333Mhz 7-7-7-24, the corsair ram when downclocked might take the faster 7-7-7-24 timings at the slower speed.
