The extenders help separate the gpus for better cooling. They work, but then you have to figure out how to mount the cards. Also, extenders tend to be lower quality and break easily. In any case, yes, they will work and are probably a good idea.

The board has 3x 16x pcie slots but you will probably be best with two to get the most bandwidth (if that matters for mining, I don't know).
