So iv had this problem is the past(same pc) but it went away from doing nothing. now i been reinstalling a bunch of harddrives, while using my own hhd as boot. but here yesterday it suddanly woundnt turn on. no bois shown on screen at all. and after a while of sitting it turned on again no problems, then it didnt start up then i restarted. iv tested out the gpu which is not the case(swaped it over in and other pc. and even tryed with a new one in my own, tryed removing my ram, and but them in different slots even only having one stick in. no response.

tryed these things aswell:
removing bios Battery for 10mins,
removing bios Battery, and power plug, then pressing the power bottom for 2 minutes
taken all the parts out of the tower to but them on a box to check power connections.

and now im out of ideas.

Drop all the drives and the GPU and try to boot the board with one display plugged in off it. See if you can get to the bios.

If yes then shut off and hook up the HD with your OS only. Boot INTO the bios by hitting F2 or whatever it is and then set the boot override to the only drive you have hooked up.

Save/restart and see what happens.

If you can get Windows restart into the BIOS, shut off the IGFX, and shut down. Put in the GPU and try again.

Go piece by piece.

IDK then honestly. I've never worked with a board without IGFX, but I'd say if you've taken the GPU to another system and know it works then it has got to be the board or the CPU.

Go to another board and use your HD, GPU, and one stick of RAM. If it all works and you can get to Windows no problem use ONLY those components on your board.

If you can't POST then you know it's your board or the CPU. Only way to know for sure is to drop a new CPU in or take your CPU to another working board and try it, the former is easier because you could buy the CPU and return it if it doesn't change anything.

Sounds very familiar to what I went through recently and ended up being my PSU, well at least I think that was the problem. Any clicking noises or faint wooshing sounds or anything like that? If you can get your hands on another PSU would be worth a shot, or if you have access to a multimeter to test your PSU.

When it was happening to me, it would mess up my bios settings and for some reason my graphics drivers would disappear and I'd have to re-install them. After a lot of trial and error trouble shooting I swapped out my PSU for a EVGA GS 650w and it's been working like a champ since. Oddly enough I had the Corsair CX500m as well.
