hey, i wanna have another monitor and my pc wont recognize it.
GPU- gtx1060 6GB
MOBO- gigabyte Z170x
monitor A (main)- dell U2410
monitor B- some proview old one (generic pnp monitor)
both monitors use DVI connection.
anyways, i have 1 DVI connection to the GPU and 1 DVI connection to the MOBO.
when i connect monitor A to GPU and B to mobo, only monitor A works.
when i do the opposite they both work fine BUT monitor B is recognized as the main monitor.
so first- does having monitor A connected the the MOBO reduce performance overall (mainly gaming)?
if so, how can i fix the problem of the pc not recognizing monitor B when its connected to the MOBO?
on BIOS initial monitor is PCIE 1 (the only GPU connection i have), and internal graphics setting is set on IGFX.
if there is any more information needed please let me know.
please help
EDIT:
just noticed nvidia control panel only recognizes the monitor connected to the GPU while the pc recognizes both monitors (when monitor B is connected to the GPU and A to the MOBO- not the solution wanted, as mentioned above)
