Does a 980 work with a 980ti water block?

Hi!
I have a 980 and was wondering if a 980ti water block would work on it? I can't seem to find a 980 water block.

Specs:
Intel core i5 6600k
Gigabyte Z170 K3
16gb DDR4 ram
EK Slim 240 water cooling kit
Corsair CX550M PSU
Corsair spec-alpha case
Crucial 240gb SSD
Segate 1TB hard drive

1. 99% that 980ti block will not fit the 980
2. 980 blocks are available but in most cases are not worth the hassle due to the price to perfromance inprovemnts
3. unless your 980 is based on reference PCB, you need to search for the block that matches your specific model
