Hello, I have done a lot of research on this and I'm getting nowhere and very frustrated LOL.
I have a new Asus RT-AC68R router and the DVR is a LTD 2316ME. The online vendor is no longer in business and there are no forums specific to this model.
The DVR is listed in the router network map.I have verified my ports with CanYouSeeMe .org. I am using win edge and set the active-x settings in the internet settings to either enable or prompt.
When I type my DVR IP (w/ colon port) in address bar on my PC , I get a blank web client page which is light blue and the web address adds a "/webcamera.html" at the end. (I spelled out colon because the site put a smiley face in its place in the preview).
I just downloaded XIQCMS that someone recommended in a thread I was reading earlier and it can't find my router either.
I have DHCP enabled on both my router and DVR. I just did a factory reset and reconfigured my DVR.....same results. One setting I'm not sure of and that is should I turn on the set "obtain IP address automatically" on the DVR?
