What will happen if I put a case fan in the pump header on motherboard...will it be registeted as a normal case fan or it won't even register it?

Solution
Usually the 4-pin pump headers (e.g., AIO_PUMP) of your motherboard are default at full-speed (depending on the motherboard, some have PWM functions while some are DC only). If you plug in a case fan, it would just run at full speed (at first). If the header has PWM function, and you plugged in a PWM fan, then you can control its speed via current on constrant +12V DC. If the header is only DC (constant speed), plugging in a case fan would only allow you to control the fan's speed via voltage.

Are you talking about the standard Fan header connector on the motherboard? Usually the wires are red, black and yellow? If so, then it should connect fine. The red and black supply the power, and the yellow (sometimes blue) wire is for RPM signal.
