Upgrading my unit for twitch streaming. Some questions!

What I had: 16gb DDR3 RAM Nvidia GTX1080 i7 4th gen.

What I got:
16gb DDR4 RAM Nvidia GTX 1080 i7 7th gen (Kaby Lake).

With those upgrades, what should I expect? I could only run my stream using "very fast" encoding on Xsplit while also playing the game with the graphics turned up all the way to 1080 HD on the old set up. My new set up is currently at the shop being installed so I haven't been able to check it out yet. With my new rig do you think I can maybe push it to medium encoding? Maybe slow (which XSplit claims you need a beast CPU to do), or maybe I should try the NVENC encoder instead of the x264 since it's the founders edition 1080 and allegedly a beast? I'm not partnered on Twitch but would love to do better than 720p 30fps. Maybe 1080p 60fps? Im just wondering what you guys think. Also I stream my PC games off the same computer I play them on. Hope this helps!

Solution
Streaming is tough. A GTX 1080 is supposed to absolutely kill games at 1440p, but when it comes to streaming, even 1080p can be a struggle. 1080p 60Fps shouldn't be that difficult to achieve, and even easier with a slight overclock.
