From what i know this is most definitely possible, the only downside being it would run at the speed of the slowest kit but since it's all 2400 MHz it should all run at that speed and be fine. Hope this helps
*Edit* I know someone running 2x 4GB (8GB) and 1x 4GB in a build for a total of 12GB and he has had no issues so far
