My hard drive isn't correctly formatting. I've searched for this, and most of the people that ask don't understand their drive has 2 partitions, or free space. Mine has 1 partition, a 560 GB one. Under DISK1 in disk management, it shows 561.53 GB. There is no free space The disk is a ST5000VN0001. Thats a 5 TB seagate.

I've deleted partitions, changed from GPT to MBR, wiped it on a mac and a PC and downloaded MiniTool Partition Wizard. No luck. I can't seem to get it to recognize the full space of the drive.

Any ideas? I can boot a laptop to ultimate boot CD, but I'm not sure what to look for there....

ok 1st thing in order to "see" the whole 5tb the partion must in GPT. second please use something like "device manager" or "HD TUNE" to confirm your HDD model number. i heard that some shop's are selling model STXXXXX but when people double check in device manager a different model number appears. also please provide a screen shot of "disk manager showing your HDD.
