if my motherboard supports a GeForce GTX 650 will my motherboard support the daul slot needed for a GEFORCE GTX 1080 I'm buying a psu so I don't have to worry about power issues
 
Solution
Unless you have an OEM system from Dell, HP, etc. virtually any motherboard will support any single graphics card.
You need to check that the dimensions of the card fit inside your case and that there are no other cards installed that would block a dual slot card.
You also need to ensure your new PSU is good quality with PCI-E connectors to suit the GTX 1080 and a combined +12V rail rating of at least 34A for a CPU up to 90W or higher if you have a power hungry CPU.
