How much does extended line affect on graphics?

The ribbon cable should not have a noticeable effect on GPU performance. My concern is whether there is a good cross flow of cooling air. Liquid cooled CPU?
Here is a solution along similar lines in which two large GPU's are stacked vertically in a chamber behind the motherboard. Notice the entire front surface drilled for ventilation.
