So as the title says I have a ZyXEL NBG-418N v2 router and it keeps dropping the internet connection every 1h 30min or so. I don't have to do anything other than wait for it to start working again but it disconnects me from games I'm playing and also kills my stream.

When I'm not using the router I have no internet issues but I also have no wifi since the internet comes straight from the electrical panel in my apartment, and without the router I can only have 1 pc connected at 1 time.

Solution
Not sure what to recommend. Most time when it does what you say it means you have a problem with your internet connection. Since it appears you also have a modem that you can connect into directly that works fine then it must be the router.

You don't have a lot of options when you suspect a router is bad. Try to upgrade to the latest firmware. After that you likely are going to have to consider buying a different router.
Does the router actually restart or do you just lose internet. Most routers have some kind of log. If the device is actually rebooting I would suspect a hardware issue. Maybe if you are logged into the device when it does it you might get a clue.

If the router does not actually restart I would suspect a issue with the DHCP time on your WAN port. Either the router is not properly renewing the lease or the ISP dhcp server is not working correctly.

The router itself is not rebooting and I've increased the DHCP lease time to 12000 minutes which is roughly a week, I've also tried factory reseting the router but that didn't help. I also tried setting a static ip to my main pc but that didn't help either.

If you want I could maybe post the log here.

It maybe losing the ip on the wan interface. You can not set the dhcp time there but it can be some kinda of error dropping the internet.

If you run a constant ping to your router ip you will be able to tell if it is the just the internet going down or if you are also getting outages to your router.

I tried running a constant ping to my router and it didn't stop when the internet went down. I've also confirmed that the internet works fine without the router, but I don't get wifi for my other devices without it...
