Router encryption key

In am seeking to link my new Panasonic HDD recorder to wirelessly to my router (Thomson Tg585v7)
I am asked for the 'encryption key' . How do I discover this? Is it the same as the password which I have managed to trace by obtaining details of my modem on my PC ?

Security

Allow New Devices: New stations are allowed (automatically)

Security Mode: WPA-PSK

but, sadly, no key!! and nothing active to move me on! Help!!!

Are you able to use WPA2 security, which is far better than WPA or WEP or can you only use WPA?

You need to get a copy of your router manual, and THIS is one potential example of your manual but you need to check for a manual consistent with your ISP.
