Solution T T thx1138v2 Mar 18, 2017 It doesn't sound random at all. It sounds like every time you power it up it shuts down. It could be due to a bad battery or overheating. A bad battery can cause the charger to draw too much current and the charging circuit senses that and shuts down. Overheating will also cause a laptop to shut down. It may just need a good cleaning internally. I would start with the cleaning. If you're not comfortable taking it apart for a thorough cleaning then take it to a shop.
