I am upgrading my PC and have a few questions. I am most likely going to get the AMD Ryzen 1600X.

1) For RAM is it CPU specific? For instance can I use this? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232089 (Optimized compatibility with DDR4-compatible Intel Core platforms)

2) I remember seeing that many of the AM4 MoBo's use up to 2666mhz RAM. Will it just throttle 3000mhz RAM to 2666 or whatever the CPU can handle? (My current RAM is set at 1333 until I OC my CPU (Originally 1600))

3) I;m thinking of getting the CoolerMaster Pro 5. Is there a solid case that has a large side window, good cable management, and looks cool (Preferably black) that you would suggest for a similar price to the CM? I do move my case around semi-frequently so the handles were kinda nice.

4) I was also thinking about water cooling and saw the CORSAIR Hydro Series H60 (Compatible with AM4) Is there another water cooler that I should use for a similar price?

Solution
RAM is not CPU specific. The only reason it is named that is because of marketing purposes.
If your ram is too fast, it will throttle down, but you can fix that by overclocking the ram.
If you an afford it, NZXT has some amazing cases
