So my father has said that i have around $2000 to get a computer. (Wanted me to get another iMac but i insisted that i didnt.) Since we have really only had Apple computers we are newer in understanding PCs. I have watched tons of videos in the past year. I want to build my own because of the customizability and lower cost, but my father doesnt feel safe with doing that. And since he is paying for that i cant do that. Can one of you build a PC within my budget on a PC Building website. I want it to actually be a good computer and not some BS $2000 system for a 1060. THANK YOU!

Say I do, but he doesn't feel safe with building it because he feels like I/we will break something expensive. Also, he does not know much about the components to building/ or just to a computer.

If neither of you have ever done it, coming from the mac world....$2,000 of random parts is a tough sell to a parent.

The parts selection, we can help with that.

Within your budget, you also have to factor in monitor, OS, peripherals, etc...

The actual building is all on you. It's mostly pretty easy, but there are a couple of small gotchas.

Exactly. My father is paying for the computer and i have money saved up for monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc. I have $800 and am going to buy a really good 1440p monitor and then save up for a good 4k monitor. Since i have hear that downgrading to play 1440p on some games doesn't look as nice as a native 1400p monitor.

So, overall...almost $3k for a PC to play games on.
hmmmm

For the building, any semi-intelligent 12 year old can do it. My grandson did.
He did 90% of the work, but he had me to back him up. And it wasn't his money.

I recommend you start SMALL for the first time. Look at a $500 budget.
Build it, make it work.
Then dad will see..."Oh, this isn't that big a deal".

Whereas if you blow it with $2k...that's a large chunk of change.

Later, sell that $500 box to someone else for cheap.

Smart. So will I be able to keep windows(OS) and use it on my next build. Or will i need to buy it again?

If you're getting Win 10, yes, you can use it on the next system.
But only one at a time, so if you sell the small one, it will be without an OS.
If you wish to use it for something else, you'll need another OS for your major system.
