My HDD runs fine upon normal startup but when waking up from sleep mode, write and read speeds plummet. My primary drive, which is an SSD, does not suffer from the same issue. What is the issue and how can this be fixed?

Here are my system specs:
- Intel i5 4690k @stock
- Asus Z97 Maximus VII Gene
- 8GB DDR3 RAM
- MSI Gaming X 8G RX-480
- Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 480GB SSD (Primary Drive)
- Toshiba 1TB Sata 6Gb/s 7200RPM HDD (Secondary Drive)
- Rosewill Lightning 1300w PSU

You can try this. Go to power options and select the mode your using and click changed advanced power settings. Once you click it a window will open showing you a list then click hard drive and change the number to 0. Hope this helps

Didn't change anything. Thanks for trying though.
