Okay, so I overclocked my FX-6300 to 4.0 ghz. When I open Prime 95 to test it, it automatically restarts. Please help

That means your oc is unstable at the settings you have set and you will need to keep playing around until you find something that works with your specific processor and is stable. I suggest checking out the overclocking forums and reading up a bit and try finding a baseline to start around.

but the temperatures aren't going up until 45 celcius. I want to try raising up the voltage but I can't find it in the bios. My bios is ASUS M5A78L-M USB 3

I read a lot of forums which they can get up to 4.5 ghz. I only want 4ghz but I can't do it. Temperature is not the issue since I got 39celcius stable because of the liquid cooler that I am using.

also, i overclocked it @ 4ghz. It's fast. But I dunno if it's stable since when i use intel burn test and prime 95, it restarts after a few minutes. Should i just stay like this and ignore the ibt and prime95? i have good temps tho
