Hi, I am going to be building a pc and wanted to know if the intel 600p 256GB M.2 SSD was worth getting instead of a SSD using Sata. If I get the intel SSD I would add a 1TB hard drive later but, if I got a normal SSD I would get it straight away.
Thanks

The 600p looks like the go-to drive but the MyDigitalSSD gets high marks too. I'd probably trust Intel a bit more.

The m.2 are much faster than standard SSD on paper, but talked to a friend the other day who has both and he said he's not sure there is much difference in real world use. I plan to get one when I upgrade.

I'd say get it if you don't need a ton of space right now. I've been gaming on a 250gb for four years but that's only enough room for basic stuff, two AAA titles, and a couple smaller games.
