Temperature of gpu while gaming

Hi, my gpu hits 52~56 Celsius , i put my oc software to cut the game at 80 degrees Celsius.
So im wondering, is it safe for gpu to be that hot or am i spoiling him ? I have tons of cooling systems as well.

Should i enjoy epic settings and get around 60~70 degrees Celsius?
Or should i make games run lower settings ?

  1. Depends on your Graphics card. Mine is a R9 390X 8GB which is notoriously hot. Under 100% load i usually hover around the 75-80 degrees mark and this is using a massive WindForce cooler and the case has fully loaded Corsair SP120 fans on maximum speed. My card is just hot in general tho, if you are running something smaller like a GTX 1050 for example i would be concerned about those temps. Anything under 70 will be fine though on just about any GPU. Hope this helps :)

    its fine up to 80c

then at 80c it will thermal throttle--ie slow itself down to lower temperature

so 56c is well below where you should be worried
