I am saving up to buy a gaming pc and I'm kinda like really desperate to start gaming. I currently have 430$ saved up and I want to know if I should get a 500$ gaming pc (i3 6100, rx 470) or save up more and get a 900$ pc (i5 6500, gtx 1060 3gb)?
Yes it will run because the latest skylake and kabylake pentium are hyperthreaded like the i3. You are getting i3 like processor at very cheaper price.
It depends in what type of game you want to play. Can you list some of them?
I'm looking to play games such as cs:go, h1z1, and overwatch at first but possibly run other Triple a titles later on, I don't know if it would be better to go budget and slowly upgrade or not though. I'm also not looking to play as ultra epic insane 8k detail or anything, just want 60 fps or higher
For your need now you are good with G4560 and 470 or 1060. You can later upgrade your system to latest components when you will play latest aaa titles.

Exactly what he said ^ Even if in the future should you lose performance CPU wise, you can still try to find a cheap used i7 and slap it in, hell the 2500k still keeps up today just like the 2700k/3700k
