First build. How many system fans do I need?

This is the first PC I am going to build.

My questions is about fans. This B250 motherboard has only 1 system fan header, and the N200 case comes with one 120 mm fan on the front and another on the rear. Is it ok to run the PC with just 1 fan, or do I need to buy a splitter cable and put the two fans to work? Thanks.

Solution
Correct, 3 pin cannot modulate speed but you can monitor the fan rpm and adjust that in the bios or software. Running the intake fan off molex/psu (max rpm) will give you a slightly positive air pressure in the case which will help keep dust out.

Thanks both your answers. I'm really a total novice regarding this issue. As far as I understand, the 3-pin fans that come with N200 will not allow for PWM mode control. That being the case, what would be the difference between (1) connecting the second case fan directly to the PSU, and (2) using a PWM splitter to connect both case fans to the single system fan connector on the motherboard? Will the splitter regulate the fan speed of both case fans or is one of them going to run at full speed anyway?

And the second question would be to ask for a suggestion about a motherboard that would allow me to connect these two 3-pin fans directly to it, avoiding the need to use splitters or to connect one of them to the PSU. I guess that would be the best solution to this matter.

Thanks.
