Borderlands 2 running poorly on a highish-end build

I have a gtx 970 (1080 ti soon, I hope), with an i5-4690k and 16gb of ram, but I get frame drops below 60-40 and it seems weird since others are having no diffculty. I turned down FXAA to off, phsyx to low, and render distance to medium, and it still drops below 60-40. Any help at all is appreciated, sorry if I repsond late, and thank you in advance if I personlly forget to do so!

Hmm. Your specs seems fine. I had a prebuilt with a 970 which ran really well in BL2 in max. Does this problem happen for on BL2? If so, try verifying or reinstalling the game.
