My CPU seems to not performing properly. I have an i5-6600k and i get what seems to be much lower frames than i should be getting.
My full specs are:
i5-6600k (cooled with corsair AIO)
Asus z170 AR
16gb ram
Asus strix gtx 1080
SSD
Windows 10 Pro

I have tried different graphics cards and have not seen improvement so that is what leads me to believe the cpu is what is limiting my performance. Both stock and overclocked frequencies achieve similar results. The CPU is very cool and i don't believe thermals are an issue. Has anyone had a similar issue? Is it possible there is something in the bios that needs adjusting or should i try to RMA?

Sometimes more is simply more.

What about Firestrike? http://store.steampowered.com/app/402290/ What's your Graphics, physics and your total score.

What about http://www.passmark.com/products/pt.htm ?

A few more over here http://www.pcgamer.com/the-best-benchmarking-tools-for-testing-your-cpu/ .

You can compare the scores from multiple benches and compare them to other users. You can also play multiple games and compare those to other users. Make sure you take note of the rest of the hardware of the other users. MAny of those who have the 1080 have a high end i7(6700K) backing it up. Also make sure Windows' power options and Nvidia's Power Managementare set to Maximum performance and High performance.

You say it's slow. How slow? FPS??? With every single game?

Full specs? How is the RAM configured? What is the make and model of your PSU?
