Hello,

I'm looking for an SSD for my computer and i saw that some m.2 sockets are different, so that really worried me about the compatibility issues.

So my question is; Are the PCIe+SATA based m.2 SSDs compatible with any m.2 sockets?

Here is my socket, although i'm not 100% sure what type it is: http://imgur.com/a/8YFdI

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Theres no way to visibly tell the difference in M.2 sockets, we would need to know the brand and model of motherboard to know.

That said all M.2 sockets will run a SATA M.2 drive, however its not worth it over using a normal SATA SSD. PCIe SSDs will only work on M.2 slots that say they support PCIe and in some cases NVMe for their fastest speeds.
