Hello i have recently purchased far cry 4 on Uplay but i am having the dreaded black screen issue on launch. as far as i am aware my rig should be fully capable of playing the game but when i launch it all i get is an over sized window of the game and a black screen that does not respond.

Tried verifying game files.
Tried system reboot.
Tried re-installing drivers (Direct x11, Nvidia drivers and C++)
Tried unplugging my xbox controller and other USB devices
Disabled in-game overlays in Ge-force experience and Uplay
So far nothing

I once had a problem with Far Cry 3 or 4 I can't remember. It wouldn't load. Solved it by Right Clicking in Uplay and selecting Verify Files. It re-downloaded some items and the game started working again

Verified the files twice already :/

Im starting to wonder if the game thinks my CPU is a dual core processor as it has 3 cores with 2 cpu's in each unit, the reason i think this is because it seems to work with the dll injector that the dual core players need to use but according to the minimum specs i shouldn't need to do that as mine meets the requirements.

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

I have, still have a black screen :/

The game must be only using one of my cpu's cores (which effectively has 2 cores in it) and thinks my cpu is a dual core? but then again, other people are playing it with the same cpu and are having no problems :/
