I have a Pentium 4. This is my motherboard:

P4P800-E Deluxe. The processor Pentium 4 Ht 3.6 Ghz will work in this motherboard?

Solution
Close, but no.

Socket 478 and LGA 775 are.... kind of the same. But LGA 775 added support for newer features and a bigger PSU.

Your motherboard doesn't appear to support 3.6ghz P4s, only up to 3.4ghz P4s.

The information you have provided for the CPU is not clear. Based on a quick look at the CPU support list and a guess I would say the CPU is not supported.

But to say for sure you would have to provide more model information. I am concerned that the CPU you are looking at is not a socket 478 CPU; your mobo is socket 478.

Maybe this extra information will help.

Information about the CPU in motherboard manual:

CPU

Socket 478 for Intel Pentium 4 / Celeron processors with speeds up to 3.2 GHz+

Supports Intel Hyper-threading Technology

Supports Intel Prescott CPU

There is also information about Chipset, Front Side Bus (FSB), Memory, Expansion slots,Storage, Ai Audio, AI Net, AI BIOS, AI Overcloking, and Special features. But i guess those are not important, right?

Processor i want to use:
