Ok so. Where do I start this is a bit complicated. The other day I was using my pc and it was veeeery slow. Checked mobo and the red LED was on signifying high disk drive usage or whatever. Idk. My task manager however says disk is at 0 and cpu is at low usage .Nothing out of the ordinary with what the task manager is portraying. However. The night before I wasn't using my pc fine. No red light. No slow. Didn't use it the whole day. Got home. Red light was there for the first time ever and it's driving me crazy. My pc won't get fixed. I checked and repaired both my C ssd and D HDD drive and yet it doesn't give back any negative results. Usually I ain't too bad with PCS but it's driving me crazy. I re installed windows. And it fixed it. Then I start installing my antivirus which worked fine before. Everything that I had back when my pc wasn't a slow piece of poop. Pop in my drive D and update windows 10. Boom red light again.
I'm running an
I7-6700k
Msi z170 gaming m5 mobo

Gtx 1060 mobo 6 gig gaming x msi

And 16 gigs ram corsair vengeance

I have no idea how the pc can ruin itself while it's off. I've tried everything. And thus I've turned to you guys. I've read and researched plenty online and yet I've found no solution that works. Like I said even a repair and scan yields no results.

I tried with just my Ssd and still get the Red light. Tried without my optical drive and again red light. Tried swapping ram and using just 8 rather than 16 but nope nothing

The one right above JTBT1 which after more research apparently on my mobo is the slow mode light (maybe idk?) I've tried dissabling intel adaptive thermal monitoring. And my slow mode switch is off. Yet no matter what setting I put the switch on it's always the same. Red light on. I used the pc before work. Perfectly fine. Came back. No one used it. Red light. I just reinstalled windows again. Same version as when I first built the pc 9 months ago ish and has literally nothing on the Ssd and yet. Red light. Runs painfully slow and laggy. No idea. At this point I'm desperate. Earlier I did a clean install and it worked fine. Right?then I plug in drive D and boom red light comes up again. So I'm like oh it's drive D. Unplugged it. Red light stayed on.

Re install windows and repeat process that fixed it.

Nothing red light still on. Still painfully slow. It's truly a horrifying enigma.

Above maybe misleading. It is right in between slow-1 and JTBT1. But no it is not directly above JTBT1. I'm looking at it right now. To the right of SLOW-1
