Hi.
I've had this issue for too long for me to ignore it, i have (4x2) corsair ram and only one stick is working.
I've made some tests and this is what i got :
It isn't being detected by Bios, speccy and cpu-z.
I tried swapping them but the PC would start for a few seconds and restart just to be turned on automatically, and so on.
I tried running the pc with one stick, each time it would turn on for a few seconds, make some beeps and then, turn off to an endless loop.
I've tried placing them in 2-4 instead of 1-3 but it's the endless loop again.
motherboard is Gigabyte Z77-D3H.

Do you have a 64bit or 32 bit operating system?
Are you sure both ram sticks are inserted properly? (try reseating them)
You tried running it with only 1 stick and you tried doing that with both of them?

It's possible you have a bad ram kit, so your only choice is to buy a new one. (should have returned them right away when they didn't work.)

it's 64bit, and yes i made sure that they're inserted properly, i also tried running with only one stick and tried it with both sticks.
you see, that's the thing, at first when i got my PC it was showing me 8g of ram, then, something happened with the card and i tried some solutions that included unplugging the rams along with the card, which i suspect, is what started the problem, but after the problem happened i tried everything from swapping and trying one stick, it eventually worked for a short period, but whatever happened that time just happened again and I've been ignoring it until now, and doing what i did that last time didn't help me, so here i am.
