Hi there, just bought a new keyboard (Corsair K70 RGB) which required me to update my USB 3.0 drivers.

Which I did, and rolled back after realising I had no so sound.

Tried various things, such as reseating my sound card (Asus Raid DLX)..it shows a light coming on (on the card itself) and i've had no previous experience of a problem like this, not really sure what the issue may be or how i'd go about fixing it.

If anyones had a similar issue and could give me a hand on getting it fixed it i'd be incredibly grateful.

cheers

it just says that its unplugged, says that its working fine but obviously isn't as its plugged in, as it has always been but telling me something else :/

It was previously selected as the default device, but isn't now as can't select it

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?82806-Asus-strix-raid-DLX-No-power-message!

found this, in which someone claims uninstalling the usb 3.0 drivers fixed the issue, but when I try to uninstall them, they automatically install? is there a way of stopping this? (using windows 10, and currently have no use for the usb 3.0 slots)

I tried a lot of things, got the sound working but the network adapter died.

Tried reinstalling Windows etc and have come to the conclusion that the motherboard is dead as now neither are working and I'm getting errors saying that the sound card isn't getting power etc.

Thanks for the help though :)
