Hello, I have plextor 128gb ssd for pcie, im trying to convert it to be my boot drive for pc. i have windows 10 and i installed it on that ssd after formatting it. Thing is when booted and running it recognizes the drive as being there no issue can save to etc.. However when i jump into bios to attempt to switch it to boot off of this drive it does not even show up. Do i need to update bios? how do i get it to work? I have a compaq hp 6305 desktop, its got a few upgrades including 32gb ram and pcie wirless network card. when i jump into bios it shows usb as boot, cd/dvd as boot and regular harddrive but pcie drive doesnt even show up.

An HP6305 is usually an A4-series APU as far as I can tell, chips released in mid-late 2012. I'd be very surprised if those were capable of booting from a PCIe drive (certainly not natively at launch, and not very likely a BIOS update every brought the functionality).

If there is a BIOS update available, perform it and see if it ability is there, but I suspect it won't be.

Pre-builts generally have pretty basic BIOS functionality, as they're never intended to be modified to any great degree - and the development doesn't go in to BIOS releases to add functionality (again, generally) - they're usually bug fixes only.
