i can overclock on a non-Overclockable motherboard?

Hello, i have a ms-7309 and i have a feature on my motherboard to push my ram speed up to 1037 Mhz speed. Its weird since the motherboard itself is non-overclockable (i cant overclock anything else than the ram). i have 2 kingston 2gb 800 mhz sticks, they didnt overheat or didnt have any instabilities. After i overclocked it gave me huge instabilities, but when i gave it max amount of voltages i could give through bios the instabilities dissapeared, though some games crash, chrome tabs also crash (especially youtube). Is this a bug in the bios? If not, is there any way to make my overclocked ram more stable?
