GTX 1080 SLI vs GTX 1080 TI vs GTX TITAN XP for 1080p@170hz multiple monitor setups?

Hi!

Which graphics card(s) will give me the best performance in new "hard-to-run" games? I plan on playing with V-sync on 144hz - 170hz.

My setup-
ASUS MAXIMUS IX FORMULA
I7 7700K
G-SKILL TRIDENTZ RGB 3866 MEMORY.

P.S WHICH GAMES SUPPORT SLI? ARE THERE ALOT OF GAMES THAT DONT?

Ti l read is like slightly better overall than the Titan X

SLI 1080s is faster about 25% than BOTH

I play mostly first-person third-person Shooters I used two 1080 GTX Superclocked 2050/5400 i7 6850k 4.4 6 core 32GB DDR4 480x2 SSD RAID 0

At 1080p 144 1ms monitor just to give you sample I saw one ti do average 97 frames Metro the last Light whereas I do lowest 108 average most of the time 114- 120 Max 135 as for trouble of SLi i get my games 6 to 12 months later and by them most bugs gone I have 32 games 2010-2017 alot are sli in fact more are than not and main game sli troubles farcry 3 scales bad and mafia two was buggy for while now 144 fps. Trust me if SLI did not work I would not be happy about it now 459-559 for each...

Performance wise the 1080ti and titan are really about the same, and the reference 1080ti has a good PCB, meaning there is no reason to get a different custom board. cooling could be an issue. if you do not have to SLI, do not. it adds variability, and room for error. also SLI and multiple monitors (over 2) can become an issue.

pure FPS per dollar 108ti wins, it costs much less than two 1080s.
