So I have everything assembled and now it comes time to turn my new build on but after all of the fans start and the led lights kick on it shuts off after about 8 seconds. It will turn on again but the cycle repeats. To my knowledge everything is good to go? Am I missing something?

Solution
I think I figured it out. Bios needs to be updated before I can use a 7th gen CPU.

try clear cmos.

turn off pc (important)

find the cmos header on your motherboard and move the header onto pin 2 and 3. wait five minutes.
put the header back onto pin 1 and 2. wait 5 minutes.

turn on pc.

what happens?

we need to breadboard. take off everything. gpu memory power connectors. sata, sata power, front panel etc.

1. put in 20+4 power plug into mobo
2. put in 4+4 power plug into mobo
3. put in the front panel connectors.
4. put in one stick of ram (dimm)
5. put in monitor display cable into motherboard connection.
6. push power button.

does your pc start up and stuff come on your monitor?

Did you connect the 4 or 8 pin power connector for the CPU to the motherboard? This is the most commonly overlooked item.

If so then reseat ram and video card, and make sure CPU fan is plugged in.

Also what is your 500w PSU. The wattage number is no indication of whether your PSU is sufficient because on low end models what is on the sticker literally means nothing more then ink printed on a sticker.

Your motherboard bios does'nt support kaby lake cpu. You'll need to get or borrow a skylake cpu to update your bios for kabylake.
