Do you think my graphics card is at its limits?

I have a gigabyte gtx 1060 3gb and I think I am getting low scores on benchmarks. Valley benchmark 5300. I wanted to know if getting a 1070 would improve things. other parts in build are i5 6600k overclocked to 4.5ghz corsair rm750i power supply. I think my cpu is powerful enough to run a 1070 properly. I also don't think that my cpu is being bottlenecked.

Are you having problems with your games or are you just trying to get the highest score possible in a benchmark? A 1070 would definitely be an improvement over your 1060 but so is a 1080 and a 1080 Ti. Only you can decide whether the cost of upgrading is justifiable.

I personally would have a hard time upgrading so quickly after buying the 1060. I want my GPUs to last at least a couple years. Plenty of other people get the upgrade itch and want something new every year though.

I have been having issues with it since I bought it and I have already had one replacement and the one I got back is worse. It runs hotter and the coil whine is really annoying.
