    Not necessarily, note that the 1700 costs $300ish while a locked i5 goes for about $190.
    Pair this with sub par gaming performance from Ryzen and 1080p issues, and the Ryzen 5 CPUs don't look that promising atm.
    However, if AMD get their sht together and fix these performance issues it could definitely be a competitive buy.
