ok, so i just bought a new graphics card for my small, entry-level gaming pc, so i can... you know... upgrade it. i bought the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Graphics Card and my CPU is a Intel Skylake i5 6400 2.7 - 3.3GHz Processor. when reading the reviews of my processor i found someone say "this processor is good for entry level gaming, but you might need to get a better one if you are going to buy a more powerful GPU like the 1070... I JUST BOUGHT THE 1070!!! then after a quick google search i learnt what bottlenecking is. and now I'm scared that i just wasted $740. I'm a complete amateur for computer building so i dont know anything...
all the info on my pc is here: https://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/sneaky-monkey/19509730
is there a way of overcoming this? do i have to buy a new cpu? and if so do i have to buy a new motherboard too? and if so then i might as well get a refund right?
help meh
