Hey guys, here's my story:
I was playing a game. PC shutdown completely, no blue screen or anything, immediately turned back on, with no display.
Upon opening the case and retrying to turn it off and on i noticed some seemingly random components weren't turning on. For example, the monitor didn't get display, the mouse was on, the keyboard was off, the back fan of the case was off. Some other times different stuff turned on/off.
This happened last night. This morning, before coming to work i quickly turned it on just to see what would happen and it just booted normally.
I've tried:
-Unplug and plug the RAM
-Unplug and plug Mobo's power cable. (after doing this it turned on fine but i tried restarting and the problem was back)
-Connecting the monitor to the Mobo's panel, still no display (GPU was still connected when i did this so i'm not sure if it would have shown anything anyway)
I found a dumb workaround that works. Hopefully it helps finding the problem.
Turn on PC with case button, if the issue happens, quickly turn off and on the on/off switch on the PSU. By doing this the case fan starts working, and it seems the PC just turns on normally, with display, mouse, keyboard, and all that.
From what i gathered from research on this, it seems like it's either Mobo or PSU related. So, what seems to be the problem?
UPDATE: unplugging the USB 3.0 cable from the Mobo seems to make it so it turns on fine. When i pugged it back in, it had the same issue. Could it be that by unplugging the cable it's requiring less power and thus it works fine?
