Need help picking a Graphics card

Hello guys,

so I'm looking to get a graphics card, I'm want it to have at least 4gb of vram and it can out perform my current card (r9 270) also it has to be under $200 aud and it has to ship to the post code 6220.

I'm thinking about a 1050 ti or a rx 460 I have a 500w psu, any help would be wonderful!

The RX 470 4GB would be an excellent card but it is just over your budget unless you are happy to spend an extra ~$20 for 30% more performance. If you are strictly on under $200 AUD tho i would agree with the GTX 1050 Ti suggestion as it demolishes the RX 460 4GB without a doubt.

Sound good, I can find one for $210 hoe more performance would I get compared to my r9 270?

Don't have the R7 270 on this relative performance chart but is has the R7 370 at the bottom which is just a refresh of your card so slightly more powerful but pretty comparable and as you can see the RX 470 4GB is around 50% better than the 370 so probably around ~60% stronger than your 270.

To be honest, best choice would be to save a little more money and get 1060.
Since 1050 ti is good, but 1060 would guarantee you best performance @ 1080p.

This is also true, an RX 470 would be great for Medium/High at 1080p but you can always save up for a GTX 1060 6GB/RX 480 if you want a card capable of High/Ultra for a bit more if that interests you.
