Hi all, I am currently using Asus laptop model X751L and since updated to Windows 10, my ethernet adapter when missing from the device manager, I thought it could be a driver issue but it is completely missing from device manager. I even tried to update it from Asus' website and upon updating this error would appear. "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable." Could this be a hardware issue since wireless connection still works. Please helpp :(

Ethernet LAN controller and wireless controller is a separate hardware with different driver.
Looks like the LAN controller is on "sleep mode" or disabled in BIOS.
Did you try to refresh the device manager again or enable the Ethernet in BIOS?
Also disable the S3 deep sleep state mode and any LAN and I/O power saving features or plug the cable from router to Ethernet to wake the LAN controller, see if it helps.

This problem are also appeared on many HP mini netbook models and some of HP pavilion models.

I tried checking on the bios and there were no options where I can enable the ethernet. If I recall correctly, this problem happened after I updated windows from 8.1 to 10. Could that be possible problem? Also, what do you mean by disabling S3 deep sleep state mode.
