Need a RAM crash course.

I'm losing my mind and need one of you memory dudes to square me away.

I have a Asus z270-A board.
This RAM https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JQXW13K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
7700k (4.2GHZ stock)
650w Seasonic Gold Power Supply
1080TI
Corsair 115i Extreme AIO

How do I

1. MANUALLY set this to run at the right speed with the right timings.
2. Verify it's running correctly.

I'm not crazy about X.M.P. but a profile does exist. But when it's applied the RAM sits at 2133 in the BIOS, the default for DDR4. I tried manually putting in the speed but it wouldn't post as well.

I'd like to manually set this so I can first be sure of what settings are used and two learn. I've read that I MAY need to OC the CPU to reach the 3200, but surely a stock 7700K would run it? I've never used this BIOS before so I've been bumbling my way through it trying to figure it all out.

I could use some wisdom from one of you top memory chaps. HELP!

1. Assuming this is your board, it supports up to 3866, so 3200 is just fine

2. The XMP speed is the speed that the RAM is designed to run at. It's what's on the label and all the advertising. Normally the MoBo will default to the highest speed that is compliant with the JEDEC specification.

3. Normally, all that is required to enable XMP is to select the XMP Option in the BIOS.

4. I have oft found myself having to input the RAM speed manually but to do so, you must input the speed, as well as corresponding timings and voltages.

5. I have seen the CPU OC thing posted several times but personally, I have never needed to OC the CPU to get RAM to run at advertised speeds.

That's the board.

Do you have any idea where I can find each setting I need to change in the BIOS and the value to manually set the correct freq/timing?

I'm at work so I can't post a screenshot, but maybe you can answer a question about that memory tab.

What number am I looking to multiply to equal out my RAM speed? And is it by two or 3 or 4 or what?

When I said crash course I mean it, lol. I feel like I used to know but for some reason I am having a hard time remembering and would like to try to get all the info in one place (this thread) so I can refresh and know what's up.

Yes, go to the BIOS section of your MoBo manual, all settings will be explained there ... start on page 20 of 2nd link

Here's the speed, timing and voltage settings

SPD numbers represent JEDEC compliant specs
Tested Latency = 15-15-15-36
Tested Speed = 2133MHz
Tested Voltage = 1.20V

Tested numbers represent XMP specs
Speed Rating = PC4-25600 (3200MHz)
Tested Latency = 14-16-16-36
Tested Speed = 3200MHz
Tested Voltage = 1.35V

I may be able to get a screen shot tonight. I'll post up if I do, so please be on the lookout tonight or tomorrow AM for sure and let me know what you think if you can.

What do those tested latency numbers correspond with from the BIOS manual? There are a TON of things to change under the memory timings.

That's what I mean it's all confusing. I don't understand why if I set up the X.M.P. it would still show 2133 in the BIOS? Maybe I'm missing something...

Either way I need some hand holding here. LoL. I've literally never messed with entering RAM timings or anything on a BIOS.
