most of people have this problem suffer from amd fx cpu? I don't know but I am. For a long long time still don't have idea to solve it

however, recently I found that if I never touch the setting, the fps seem would not drop to below 50, otherwise, if you touch the setting, you never go back to a normal fps.

That's my experience, I am not sure is it a really solve way, let's more discussion

If your GPU is hitting 75 degrees while only at 50% usage then either something's wrong with the cooling parts on the card or your case doesn't have proper airflow to move the heat away from the components.

The AMD FX series is a bit old now. I still have mine because I built this computer before Ryzen and the nVidia 10-series GPU's; my CPU never goes above 65 degrees under load and my GPU only goes above 70 at around 80-85% usage.

Edit: I forgot to point out that I have no issues running GTA V on my FX-8370; I don't think it's an FX-series bug.

It depends on the CPU, and what settings you're changing. GTAV is pretty CPU intensive, and FX chips are not the strongest performers.

What does your CPU utilization look like while playing? (task manager can show you this)

What settings have you changed? Just a preset?

What are your full specs?

Full system specs?

FX-6100,GTX 1060 3G, 8GB RAM 1600mhz

Your CPU and RAM are enough to play the game, but I wouldn't expect great performance out of that system. In my opinion, 8GB of RAM is just enough to game on the newer engines, and 16GB is where it is now. Your CPU is simply a high powered potato, no amount of optimization will change that.

I can make sure that if I never change the setting, the fps is stable 40fps up, If I changed setting, even I set all of it a very low, fps just can around 30-40fps.

I know that the CPU is bottleneck GTX1060, but as I have say, here is exist some glitch to perform more well.

now, I upgraded my CPU to FX-8350, fps keeping 60 most part(I still never ajust the setting), FX-8350 is a good choice too.

Ooh, FX 8350, same one as me. You say you're getting 60FPS stable with that CPU and a 1060? Good to know if I ever upgrade to a 10 series from my 980Ti.

Edit:

FX 8370 not 8350. Plus as part of my upgrades I'd be going to a Ryzen and DDR4 RAM.

You already have a bottleneck. Why would you upgrade your graphics card without overhauling the rest of the system?

OMG, I should responsible to correct my point of view, now my GTA 5 fps will drop to 30-50fps, even I never adjust the setting. I think that is a GTA 5 stupid bug to AMD FX-series. GPU usage is now drop to 50% and temperature 75C. is it real? evga GTX1060 sigle fan card 50% usage reach 75C. I wanna cry
Thus, I think I spent about 100USD for a little bit upgrade, very stupid.
