Trying to get Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon (ubuntu engine based) dual booting with Windows 7 on my M.2 drive (its a samsung 960 evo)

I have had this exact same setup in the past on my SATA ssd (samsung 850 evo) with no problems ( I even made a youtube tutorial for ubuntu here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQqN-F_GW4Nlel-lfQ7wJo0J3qbSnwJwd)

Mint seems to be having trouble installing grub (images linked below)

My SOP is:
install Windows 7
Shrink volume leaving ~ 80gb for Mint
Run Mint usb live cd (made with rufus)
Install:
type=primary
use as= ex4
mount point= /

then usually its all good to go, but I get the error that grub install fails

not sure how to get this sucker working

here is my build hardware for reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mNqtRG

Solution
Read the error messages. It is fairly obvious. The script is misidentified the disk name.. suggest you install grub manually to /dev/nvme0n1 not /dev/nvme (which does not exist and the grub install complains about)
