Hi!
Im getting a new CPU, RAM and MOBO and i was wondering should i get a better PSU
My PSU is Corsair CX600M 600W
Specs:
Cpu: Intel i5 Kaby Lake 7600k
Motherboard: Asus Strix Z270H
Ram: G.skill Ripjaws 16GB 3200mhz
GPU: Asus Strix gtx 960 4gb
2 Case Fans
Do i need a better Psu?

1) Is it okay? If by this do you mean will it run, it will likely run the system but it won't be happy and we can't guarantee that it'll behave nicely.

2) It could send a surge through the system and destroy your motherboard, graphics card, and hard drives. It's rare that a failing unit destroys the CPU or RAM because there's motherboard VRMs between them and the power supply. This is possible, but unlikely.
 


He asked what could go wrong, so naturally I listed the worst possible outcome except for starting a house fire.

I lost the link, but remember the post of one user that tried to jump start an old CX unit and it caught fire?
